Flights to Mexico: "Huge" increase in bookings reported
January has seen a substantial increase in the number of people booking flights to Mexico, it has been reported.

According to alpharooms.com, there has been an 84 per cent increase in online holiday bookings compared to the same period in 2007.
Moreover, the company reported a "large increase" in the number of Britons booking long-haul flights.
"We've seen huge increases in bookings to tropical destinations in particular, such as Malaysia, Mexico and the Caribbean, showing that Brits are keener than ever to guarantee themselves some good weather following the rainy summer we had last year," commented Gareth Hockey, alpharooms.com's online marketing manager.
Dubai, Penang, Singapore and Cape Town were also "hotly tipped" for popularity in 2008.
According to the World Tourism Organisation, Mexico was the seventh main holiday destination in the world in in 2005.
