Charter Flights to Tunisia from the UK

Tunisia really is a fascinating place to visit. Not only does it have beautiful beaches and a warm climate, it also offers many cultural monuments and fascinating sights. Many cafes, bars and restaurants line the pretty streets and there are shops, from large well-known boutiques, to the tiny shops and market stalls in the medieval medina; the perfect place for a bargain! Popular resorts include Hammamet, Port el Kantaoui and Yasmine Hammamet. Hammamet boasts fabulous golden beaches and is one of the most popular places to stay. With its whitewashed houses, cafes, restaurants and bars, as well as many shops, this is one of the most modern resorts in Tunisia. Port el Kantaoui is a purpose-built resort, centred around the marina and boasts a long beach and world tournament golf course. Yasmine Hammamet is still in the process of being developed and centres around the hotels. Flight times to Tunisia are roughly 3hours 15 minutes.

Djerba

The isle of Djerba is situated in the southeast of Tunisia on the Gulf of Gabes. Djerba offers a wide variety of water sports, cafes, restaurants and bars. However, there are also many cultural sights including the ancient synagogue of the Griba, and the fortress like mosques, as well as many Roman sites. Potters and silversmiths create hustle and bustle in the open-air markets, which create the opportunity for some haggling!

Monastir

Monastir, from the French 'monastere' or 'monastery' is a town composing of 9th century walls and an imposing Ribat tower. Monastir captures that blend of the traditional and the modern that characterises Tunisia. A marina nestled in the shade of the walls provides the perfect setting to relax with a drink. The long avenue also offers the bluest of Mediterranean seas on one side and open-air restaurants, bars and hotels on the other side for you to enjoy the view. The 'monastery' after which the town was named was built by an Islamic religious order to defend the town, and the fortress houses a lovely museum of Islamic art and artefacts, therefore Monastir provides its visitors with a wide range of things to see and do.

Sfax

Sfax is a fishing port with a warm Mediterranean climate and long sunny days. It is one of the most inexpensive parts of Tunisia offering many cultural and historical treasures waiting to be explored. There are plenty of good restaurants serving traditional dishes including couscous. The main source of nightlife is Arabian entertainment, but there are also bars and cafes offering low key Western entertainment. Shopping provides a great opportunity to haggle, the Medina offers everything from carpets to birdcages, and the selection of goods is generally arts, crafts and traditional works.
