Something worth seeing is the International Opera Festival in the Roman Theatre at Caesarea, held annually every June and July. Ovda

Ovda airport, located in southern Israel, is the main gateway for the lively Red Sea resorts of Eilat. Eilat is a bustling port combining sea and desert with a modern town of hotels, restaurants and bars. From Eilat you can experience the underwater delights of the spectacular coral reefs, which feature literally thousands of varieties of marine life. Rainfall is very low in Eilat with only about 6 days of rain per year, making it a great all year round destination. As well as diving and snorkelling, the sea is ideal for a host of water sports including water-skiing, kayaks and motor boats. If you are not a strong swimmer there is the underwater observatory as well as glass-bottom boats rides and a submarine. It is also possible to swim with the dolphins. Away from the water are mountains and desert safaris.
