Description

Grenoble has quickly become an industrial centre and is situated on the Isere River, surrounded by three ranges of the Alps. This picturesque location has undergone dramatic growth in the past century and hosted the Olympic Games in 1968. There are several interesting and beautiful churches and the Alpine region around Grenoble features hiking trails, good quality ski resorts and caves.
