Cayo Coco

Cayo Coco is the forth island in terms of size forming the Cuban archipelago; with 370 square kilometres, it is located to the Atlantic cost of Cuba, close to the Canal Viejo de Bahamas. It is linked to the main land by a stone road, 17 km long. Today, Cayo Coco is paradise with its beach of 10 Km long, of fine sand and warm and crystal-clear waters. A privileged reserve for flora and fauna, this key hosts species such as the wading birds, particularly the coconut the island was named after. It is also favourite habitat for other bird species such as the cormorant, woodpecker, mockingbird, pelicans and many duck species. A 10-30 Mt. coral reef, over 10-Km long, adds more attraction to the place; the diversity and abundance of marine species make divers feel in a real aquarium.

Havana

Havana is unique - there is no other place in the World quite like it. It is crammed with history from the old town's crumbling Spanish colonial architecture to the time locked revolutionary fifties. One of the many amazing sights is the huge selection of classic American cares which through various feats of ingenuity somehow still seem to be moving. Havana has been a World Heritage Site since 1982 with many museums and places of interest, especially for Ernest Hemingway fans who resided for a period in the City. There are many bars and restaurants to soak up the local atmosphere and enjoy a "mojito" or two.

Holguin

Holguin province on the East Coast of Cuba is home to up to 50 beaches covering around 40kms of coastline. The beaches in this area are some of the prettiest in the Caribbean with clear azure blue waters. This area of Cuba is much quieter and more intimate than Varadero, and is bordered by vegetation with 12 nature reserves. Resorts in this area include Guardalavaca Beach and Esmeralda Beach. A perfect place for a relaxing holiday in a stunning natural setting.

Varadero

Varadero is the largest and most well known tourist resort in Cuba, situated on a long spit of pure white sand on the North Coast which reaches out to the Atlantic Ocean. A premier beach resort, Varadero is famous for its clear waters and fantastic setting, with many large resorts. There are 23 World Class dive spots along this 21km stretch of beach, as well as many restaurants and nightclubs. Varadero is only 2 hours drive from Havana, which makes for a fascinating day trip.
