Salzburg, Austria's fourth largest city is surrounded by two hills: the Kapuzinerberg on the left bank and the Monchsberg on the right. Salzburg's old town, located on the south bank of the river is a Baroque masterpiece filled with churches, plazas, fountains, gardens and courtyards. Being the home of Mozart, music is a dominant pastime. There are numerous bars, restaurants, museums, chocolate shops and liqueur bars. The city has a very Italian feel as it was built by three bishop-princes in the late 16th and early 17th century. It is a spectacular city filled with medieval spires and domes, making it incredibly picturesque.
