Holidays in Punta Prima, Menorca
- If all you are looking for is a beach, a couple of hotels and a shop, this may be the very place for you.
The secluded resort of Punta Prima and its nearest neighbour S'Algar are both part of the municipal district of Sant Lluís, on the extreme south east corner of Menorca. Even by Menorcan standards this resort has to be described as being quiet, and for many perhaps a little too quiet. However, if all you are looking for is a beach, a couple of hotels and a shop, this may be the very place for you. One of the first to be awarded the EU Blue Flag for cleanliness and quality, the beach at Punta Prima is sandy, with a cluster of rocks at the eastern end. The white sand gently shelves into the warm shallow waters, creating excellent conditions for swimming and snorkelling. And the warm, gentle winds make it a great place to have a go at windsurfing. Besides the beach, Punta Prima holidays offer up mini golf, tennis, coastal walks and bike rides. Basically everything you would look for in a beach holiday. As one of the oldest holiday destinations in Menorca, Punta Prima is accustomed to the needs of its holidaymakers – you'll find beach bars, souvenir shops and cafes – but it still manages to retain its traditional charm and laid back atmosphere.
