Having evolved from a small fishing village Cala Ratjada is now a popular, upbeat resort with more spectacular beaches than you can shake a stick at. Cala Ratjada is located on a small rocky peninsula on the extreme north east corner of the island, and it is this jagged coastline that is home to some of Majorca’s best beaches.
Take your pick from the plethora of beaches on offer at this resort, or spend your trip exploring each individually. The main beaches at Son Moll and Cala Gat have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag for their cleanliness, facilities and water quality but can get busy in the summer periods. If it is privacy that you seek, you will need to take the costal path northwards, where you will find the more relaxing, peaceful coves at Cala Guya, Cala Agulla or Cala Mesquida.
Aside from the beautiful beach this resort also offers a modern marina. Having originated from a small fishing village the original harbour, although modernised, still exists but today rather that fishing boats it is populated by rows of pristine white yachts. A number of shops, restaurants and bars line the marina, welcoming you to sit down, relax and enjoy atmosphere while dining on the local catch of the day or sipping on a divine cocktail.
