Situated on the northeast coast of Tenerife, Las Caletillas is a quiet resort and for what it lacks in theme parks and wild nightlife it more than makes up for in charm, tranquillity and picturesque surrounds. Las Caletillas itself has a black pebble beach stretching around three coves, however if this is not to your liking the charming village of Candelaria with its black sand volcanic beach is only a stones throw away and trips to the golden sandy beaches of Playa de las Teresitas are also available.
A modest selection of shops within the resort will cover the basics, with shopping tours to Santa Cruz de Tenerife providing a wider range of retail options. The nightlife in the local area is low-key, with a selection of local bars and restaurants serving up delicious tapas and fantastic wine.
